Policies


2010 Albany Elite  Policies

Albany Elite is a private club.  Membership on this team is by try-out only and players must renew yearly. Prior membership in Albany Elite does not guarantee future membership. Team designation may also change from one year to the next.

Cost

  • The annual Membership Fee is $400 per player and $100 for each additional sibling membership.
  • Tournament Fees are charged separately and are the responsibiltiy of the player/parent
  • All travel  expenses and accommodations for tournaments are the responsibility of the player’s family

General Policies

  • The purpose of  Albany Elite  is to provide top-level training and exposure opportunities for lacrosse players whose goal is to compete at the highest level.
  • All players are expected to attend all practices and tournaments. If a player is consistently absent, their placement on the team will be in jeopardy and subject to dismissal.
  • All players must have a current US Lacrosse Membership. Failure to maintain a current membership will result in a dismissal from the program. No refunds will be given.
  • Players are discouraged from joining or committing to other travel lacrosse programs that interfere with their participation on the Albany Elite team.
  • Players  are held  accountable for their actions and decisions. Therefore, players are instructed to handle all communications with their  Albany Elite coaches.
  • All players and parent must make sure they are receiving e-mails from Coach Chatnik.  Check their e-mails and website frequently.
  • If you have any questions or concerns you must e-mail coach Chatnik ASAP. Don’t hesitate!!!!!!!
  • A team Coordinator will be selected to assist coaching staff with paperwork, and team emails. If your interested please contact Coach Chatnik.

Tournament Policies

  • All players must register for tournaments by deadlines stated on the website or they will not be rostered for that tournament are NOT automatically entered in each tournament. You must register for each tournament  by the deadlines stated – first come first serve.
  • If  the tournament roster spaces fill prior to the deadline  you will be placed on a “wait list”  - you will be notified if we get an opening –  based on position and wait list date.  No late fees will be assessed.
  • If you have missed the deadline date and decide at a later date you would like to attend a tournament.A  $25. late fee will be assessed.
  • In either case  your name will not appear on the roster in the tournament program book
  • No  late tournament registrations will be accepted with less than 7 days prior to a tournament.
  • If you cannot attend a tournament and have submitted the fee you must contact Coach  Chatnik immediately! You may be leaving a team without enough players.  If you back out of the tourney w/out a 28 day notice you will not receive a refund.  See refund policies below.
  • Information regarding directions to tournaments, hotels, and player waivers are available on our website: www.albanyelitelacrosse.com Information will also be handed out at practices.
  • Game schedules will be available the week of the tournament. They will be posted on ther website as soon as they become available.
  • Players should arrive at the field for tournaments 1 hour before their first scheduled game and 30 minutes before each subsequent game. They should be in full uniform and prepared to warm up at that time. Being on time is the PLAYERS responsibility – not the parents. If this rule is not adhered to, the player will lose playing time for that game.
  • Playing Time: Each year, Albany Elite attends tournaments of a wide variety of competition levels. Whereas the goal of some tournaments is purely fun, participation and exposure; others include a championship format. At these more competitive tournaments, it benefits the entire program for our teams to perform well. In those situations, playing time will be determined with the focus on winning. There are no guarantees of playing time.
